- Disconnect other peripherials to make sure none are conflicting with your controller.
We’ve had reports of Xbox wireless controllers not working well on Mac when using Steam. If this is happening for you, you could try the following steps.
- Make sure you’re connected through Bluetooth, not through USB C direct connection.
- In System Settings > Game Controllers > Xbox Wireless Controller, make a profile for the Steam app for your controller after connecting, and toggle on “Increase compatibility”.
