First, make sure you’ve done some basic troubleshooting to eliminate the most common issues:
- Check that your computer meets the minimum system requirements listed on Steam.
- Make sure Windows is up to date.
- Try running the game as administrator.
- Verify integrity of game files on Steam.
- Make sure your graphics card drivers are up to date.
- Disable other applications running in the background.
If you try all of the above, and Big Walk is still crashing, freezing, stuttering, or your screen goes black when trying to play:
- Make sure your installed versions of the Microsoft C++ Redistributable are up to date and uncorrupted.
- On Windows 11, check whether you have a problematic driver called inpoutx64 installed on your computer.
